“Thea” is a table lamp that combines a friendly form factor with familiar materials and a unique dimming system. To turn on Thea’s light, the user presses down on the bulb, activating a push switch. To dim the light, the hood can be raised and tightened around the light. We rarely think of our lamps as friends. Thea is a lamp that, through form, interaction, and quality of light, seeks nothing other than to be a friend.
